Bonfilio’s literary career took off in 2010 when she began publishing her works on www.ilmiolibro.it, including Pacati in versi, Inviati Speciali, Inviati Speciali 2, Gocce di rugiada, Il Gusto dell’Arte, and Arte e poesia. Since then, her literary journey has been marked by continuous evolution, with her poetic and narrative expressions resonating deeply with readers.
Her poetry has received significant acclaim, earning her an Honorable Mention for Amore malato at the Ponte Vecchio Award (2018). The following year, she was honored with the title of “Ambassador of Peace for Poetry in the World”, along with the Author of the Year Award 2019 for her poem Rami secchi. Her dedication to the written word was further recognized when she won the Scrivendo 2019 and 2020 literary contests, leading to the publication of her e-books Spighe di grano and Sensazioni (Kubera Edizioni).

Later that month, her poem Adesso Basta was featured in the TRADICION exhibition at Milan’s Art Gallery, alongside distinguished figures like Salvo Nugnes and Francesco Alberoni.
In December 2022, she was awarded at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome for her poem Vita sfregiata as part of the “Strade di Poesia” project, an initiative led by the B. Joppolo Association.
A RISE TO GLOBAL RECOGNITION
Bonfilio’s works have increasingly gained international attention. In 2023, she participated in Casa Sanremo Writers, presenting Il vaso di Pandora. She also took part in the Brindisi International Book Festival, serving as a panelist in several literary conferences while showcasing her works.
Her new books La stanza dei segreti (SBS Edizioni) and Oltre la siepe (Antonello Di Carlo Edizioni) were launched at the 2023 Turin International Book Fair, with Oltre la siepe submitted for the Campiello Prize 2023.
In June 2023, she was awarded at the Senate of the Republic for her unpublished poems Non mi pento ma mi dolgo and Oltre. Later that year, she won the Menotti Festival Art Literature Prize (September 2023) in Spoleto for La stanza dei segreti.
She was also a featured author at the Frankfurt International Book Festival (2023) and the Strasbourg European Parliament, where she was awarded for her poetry. 2024: A YEAR OF PRESTIGE AND HONOR
In February 2024, La stanza dei segreti was selected for Casa Sanremo Writers and later submitted for the Strega Poetry Prize 2024, placing her among the 144 authors nominated for this prestigious award.
In April, she won the Città della Letteratura First Prize in Brindisi for her poem Lo zerbino. At the Turin Book Fair (2024), she received the Author Award 2024 from the Tuscany Region for her poetry.
Her poetry collection Il vaso di Pandora won the First Prize in Poetry at the UT PICTURA POESIS International Literary Competition.
A landmark achievement in her career came in December 2023 when she was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature 2024, with an official recommendation sent to Stockholm by an accredited professor of linguistics.

In August 2024, Bonfilio will release Zia Margherita racconta (SBS Edizioni), a children’s book set to be showcased at the Campania Libri Festival (Naples, Palazzo Reale), the Frankfurt International Book Festival 2024, and Più Libri, Più Liberi in Rome.
In September 2024, she will publish her latest poetry collection, Frammenti di luce, which won the Scrivendo Ancora 2023 Contest (Kubera Edizioni).
Her work Zia Margherita racconta has also been selected for Casa Sanremo Writers 2025.
In November 2024, she will receive the Leonardo Sciascia Special Award at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome. She has also been selected for the Special Prize “Poets for the Holy Year 2025,” where she will present a personal poetry plaquette to the Holy Father at the Vatican.
Finally, in March 2025, she will be honored with the “Lifetime Achievement Award for European Poetry” at the European Parliament in Brussels, a testament to her enduring impact on the literary world.
